Millennium Science School (ミレニアムサイエンススクール, Millennium Science School) is one of the many schools in Kivotos.

Millennium Science School is an academy focusing heavily on STEM fields and associated research and development. Although established only relatively recently, it is highly regarded for its cutting-edge science and technology that is unrivaled by other schools, and it holds influence comparable to Trinity General School and Gehenna Academy.

General Information

Millennium is the youngest of the Three Great Academies of Kivotos, valuing logic and technical skill over all else. Because of it, they stand at the forefront of scientific research and attract many students who desire to study math or science. Although Millennium lacks the long-standing traditions and history of Trinity and Gehenna, their scientific advancements have resulted in much of Kivotos' infrastructure being produced or otherwise originating on their campus.

Every year, the school holds a large-scale contest known as the Millennium Prize, where clubs all throughout the school compete with the results of their club activities.

In the Code: BOX event, it is revealed that Millennium operates its own railway.

Millennium not only does more events but in recent activities, they are also capable of detecting strange phenomenon happening in each of the academies, whom a rogue AI, started to hack the Hub, instilling sentience and destruction, forcing Seminar and the Paranormal Affairs Department to take action; the Game Development Department were later called to discover and solve the arising threat that would otherwise turn Kivotos into a terraformed world filled with robots.

History

In the past, a group of researchers came together in an effort to solve seven difficult problems unsolvable by current technology, called the Millennium Problems. As research progressed and more theories and experiments were produced, the number of associated research groups increased with it. Eventually, Millennium as a school was formed by these research groups, and Seminar was placed at its head.

Trivia

The word Millennium means "a thousand years".
The school's name is likely derived from the Millennium Prize Problems, which are seven complex mathematical problems chosen by the Clay Mathematics Institute.
- The first and only problem successfully proven thus far is the Poincaré Conjecture, by Grigori Perelman in 2010.
- This idea is supported by the fact that Millennium's student council, Seminar, was originally an organization formed to solve a set of highly complex seven problems called the "Millennium Problems".
Currently, it is the only school that doesn't have a clear "religious" motif or origin, but instead has a greater focus on STEM.
Seminar hosts a budget meeting quarterly and, as of the Seminar substory, they are currently on the 28th meeting. This gives an absolute minimum for Millennium's age, which is seven years.
Jacketed hollow-point rounds are banned in Millennium. The ban was likely enforced by Yuuka following the events of the Prologue.
The school's logo, resembling a "7" and a lowercase "n" to form a stylized "M", is designed to reference the Seven Millennium Problems the school was founded to solve.
Among schools with swimsuit variants, Millennium has the least amount of students with the variant, with just one.
- Millennium is the only school with a swimsuit variant without a swimsuit event.
- After Volume EX became main story, Millennium become the only school with a swimsuit variant that comes from main story.
