Independent Federal Investigation Club S.C.H.A.L.E (連邦捜査部 S.C.H.A.L.E), or simply SCHALE (シャーレ), is an extrajudicial, autonomous organization founded by the mysterious General Student Council President prior to her disappearance.
This is where Sensei works.
Background
A "club" created by the General Student Council President with a secret directive. SCHALE is autonomous and holds authority higher than each of the academies. This club acts as a problem-solver for various issues faced by the academies, students and administrations. This is where the Shittim Chest is waiting to be used for Sensei's command.[1]
General Information
It was created by the President of the General Student Council. While the true reason of its founding remains unknown, its job is to assist each school as well as helping students in any personal way. Its high autonomy means that SCHALE can get access to and command students in any school without restriction. Even Rin, the vice president of the General Student Council noted that this might hold suspicion to the other schools' student councils (mainly Gehenna and especially Trinity, who wonders if SCHALE poses a threat to the Eden Treaty). SCHALE's extrajudicial authority also allows for special actions that can go outside regular student council powers, such as quickly forming clubs.
The Shittim Chest is also waiting to be activated in the office. Once it was activated, its power enables the highest controls of the club and the academies that Sensei meet or encountered throughout their time in Kivotos.
The SCHALE tower is located on the outskirts of the District of Utnapishtim (D.U.), around 30 km away from the Sanctum Tower. It is divided into two main areas: a residence hall and an office area. Both are huge, with various facilities such as kitchens, a lounge, a theater and more, and both having rooms equipped for Sensei to teach any students that visit; they are designated as student reps, rotating daily between academies. The convenience store Angel 24, currently operated by part-timer Sora is located in the Residence Hall.
Due to funding from the General Student Council, SCHALE holds a high amount of resources in money and supplies such as ammo. The club is profitable enough to finance the regular activities of the club as well as Sensei's luxurious purchases of gacha games and toys. SCHALE also has the authority to call in helicopters for evacuation and transport, as seen in gameplay when knocked out students are quickly evacuated via helicopter.
SCHALE also has a private room for Sensei's personal room. This room features a queen-size bed, a very long table alongside with a lamp and a standard computer monitor on the side alongside with a trash bin.

Trivia
- SCHALE's office is full of munitions, including money and spare firearms, but, for some reason, Sensei also went into the Black Market to gather some information and probably get more weapons than SCHALE already had.
- Coincidentally, SCHALE's Office is also where the Shittim Chest is stored, based on the Prologue. It was also the objective of Kosaka Wakamo's rampage in the District of Utnapishtim before she was driven off.
- The entirety of SCHALE's office is part of the mini short series Sensei, May I Have A Moment of Your Time?, posted weekly on the Japanese Blue Archive channel, featuring Yuuka and later Noa.
- The mini short series would gradually expand to various students from different academies.
- SCHALE is Kivotos' latest club and the last to be approved before the president's disappearance.[2]
- This distinction lasted until Volume 3 when Trinity's Make-Up Work Club (also known as Supplementary Lessons Department) was formed, fittingly, via SCHALE's own extrajudicial authority (and by extension Kirifuji Nagisa taking advantage of said authority).
- The first club to be approved as a proper club by Sensei would technically go to the Foreclosure Task Force, as while the club was formed prior to the president's disappearance, it was not an officially approved club until Sensei made it such one at the end of Volume 1 Chapter 2.
- This distinction lasted until Volume 3 when Trinity's Make-Up Work Club (also known as Supplementary Lessons Department) was formed, fittingly, via SCHALE's own extrajudicial authority (and by extension Kirifuji Nagisa taking advantage of said authority).
- In the page of characters list from the TV anime's official website, at Sensei's title card, SCHALE is described as "Federal Bureau of Investigation", a.k.a the FBI.[3]
- Most collaborations (Miku, Railgun T.) are part of the SCHALE Faction due to them being non-aligned in the game.
- To correlate this, by far the only collabs in the game were only available and they were not doing more collaborations at the moment.
