Summary
While Sensei tries to get Arona to locate Hoshino, someone knocks on the door across his desk. Thinking it was her who returned, he quickly opens the door to find no one in the hallway. Instead, he notices a black card showing the dot on the small map that marks the area where Sensei should meet up. He arrives at the intended destination and eventually makes his way to the dark office where he finds an individual who introduces himself as "Black Suit" – a mysterious individual who, much like Sensei, hail from outside Kivotos, but he is part of a mysterious research organization, Gematria, tasked to investigate secrets withiin Kivotos.
The Black Suit offers Sensei to work with Gematria, but Sensei refuses, swearing he will save Hoshino upon being asked for his goal. The Black Suit thought it was impossible, but Sensei explains that he didn't sign Hoshino's drop-out forms, therefore she is legally still part of Abydos as a student, and Sensei proclaims that he will rescue students like Hoshino. Sensei berates the Black Suit for deceiving Hoshino and the whole academy, but Black Suit justifies that their actions are not illegal and sees weak people who doesn't have the right to decide the future. Sensei refuses to heed to Black Suit's request to give up on Hoshino, leaving him astonished, as he had saw Sensei's potential to one day rule Kivotos with an iron fist.
However, having felt satisfied of Sensei's proclamations and his resolve to rescue his students, the Black Suit eventually informs that Hoshino is being used as part of the "Mimicry" experiment and is held captive in an underground laboratory just by the same Kaiser PMC military base out in Abydos Desert the Countermeasures Committee had previously discovered. The Black Suit doesn't mind if Sensei takes Hoshino away but warns that the Kaiser PMC Director will never let him enter the base before he proceeds to leave Sensei in the room.
He then informs the Countermeasures Committee where Hoshino was held captive. The group are raring to fight, on the condition that they should give Hoshino a warm welcome when they located her. However, before they could proceed with the attack, Shiroko suggests asking other academies for help. They first turn to Hifumi at Trinity General School, who is informed her of Hoshino's capture and asks for her help. Hifumi replied that she will send their message to the Tea Party, however, one of the Tea Party's leaders, Nagisa, sees the Eden Treaty as a priority and asks her to give them some time to think about it.
Next, they turn to Gehenna Academy to see if they are willing to help Hoshino. Only Ako and Chinatsu are present in the Disciplinary Committee's office, and the group asks the two if they're willing to assist Sensei in attacking the Kaiser PMC base. However, the meeting ends in disaster when Hina finds Sensei licking Iori's feet. Disappointed, they turn to Handyman 68 who has relocated their base of operations into a public park with the playground area being transformed into their own makeshift office. However, the group didn't see the sign behind them and dejectedly leaves. On the street, they came across Master Shiba operating on the roadside stall who said that there were customers who enjoyed eating ramen. At that moment, Handyman 68 appears who was just about to pay his bill. Upon being asked whether if they could help, a skeptical Aru replies to give them time to consider. Despite the apparent failure, Sensei remains confident that in time, they will come to their aid.
The next day, Sensei decided to go ahead with the plan to attack the Kaiser PMC base and free Hoshino, trusting his judgement that their allies will come around and help them.
Difference Between Anime and Game
- The start of the anime episode sees Sensei requesting Arona to attempt to locate Hoshino's cellphone. This is not seen in the previous episode of the anime adaptation, nor especially did it occur in the mobile game either.
- Rather, just after the events of the story's Episode 15, Sensei immediately goes to Black Suit's office. In its place, Ayane is the one who will discover Hoshino's location (by the start of Episode 18)
- The events on how Sensei was able to meet up with Black Suit is established in this anime episode, which is not present in the game.
- Rather, just after the events of the story's Episode 15, Sensei immediately goes to Black Suit's office. In its place, Ayane is the one who will discover Hoshino's location (by the start of Episode 18)
- The part where Sensei and the Countermeasures Committee asking Gehenna, Trinity and Problem Solver 68 is also featured in the anime as is from the mobile game, but this version is presented thoroughly with increased plot and detailed interactions. However, there are some differences:
- In the game, Problem Solver 68 had already ordered a bowl of ramen from Master Shiba; in their place, Momoi and Midori replaces Problem Solver 68 as their customers in the anime adaptation before the group arrived.
- Ayane relaying her plans to the Countermeasures Committee is also present in the video game, but in the anime adaptation, this occurs by the end of this episode while they're still on Abydos High School grounds instead of the deserted railway area.
- The battle phase from Episode 17 is not present in this anime adaptation.
- The visual of Problem Solver 68's new office in the form of a playground area is only seen exclusively in the anime adaptation; the video game does not make any mention of their new base besides being on the move.
