Synopsis
The Abydos Countermeasures Committee head for the 'Black Market', a famously lawless area, in pursuit of clues about the Helmet Gang that previously attacked them. As they investigate together with Hifumi, a girl from Trinity General School whom they met by chance, the possibility that the repaid money is flowing into an underground bank emerges. There, Shiroko suddenly starts saying that she is going to "rob the bank"...![1]
Summary
The Countermeasures Committee traveled to the Black Market, upon discovering that the parts they gathered from Handyman 68's previous assault, came from that district, which houses many illegal products that is banned in Kivotos and is where Aru's group frequents.
By chance, they encounter a Trinity student Hifumi being chased by a trio of delinquents, who intends to kidnap her for ransom. As Shiroko stood against the delinquents, the latter offers her money if she could let them take Hifumi. She declines and quickly dispatches them.
Hifumi reveals that she was visiting the black market to buy a limited-time Peroro doll, something which Nonomi takes interest in. Hifumi mentions there are several illegal financial and security agencies based in this district and that all their records have been kept secret. She points out the bank within the Black Market district, which she heard that money obtained through various crimes are flown into the bank, which the employers would use the money to fund the clients to buy new weapons for the clients to commit other crimes, creating a vicious cycle.
Just then the group saw the Kaiser Loans' van pulling up right next to the bank and sees the employee lending Abydos' cash they had previously paid, to the bank. Although devasted by the fact they had been giving their cash to criminals, Ayane reminds them that they don't have any evidence to support the allegation that the Kaiser Loans has been funneling their cash to the dark bank. Shiroko decides to rob the bank to steal the bank's transaction records and tags Hifumi along, much to her dismay, as Nonomi, while not having enough masks, puts down a paper bag on her head instead.
Inside the bank, the Handyman 68's leader, Aru, tries to obtain the loan, but was rejected, with the employer pointing out that her office is rented, and their firearms are not enough to cover their costs as collateral. Aru gets angry and contemplates whether if she could rob the bank but finds it impossible due to heavy security. As she reflects on her young life, Hifumi and Countermeasures Committee, under the name "Masked Swimsuit Gang" breaks into the bank and holds the staffers, and the security guards at gunpoint. Shiroko demands the bank employees to hand over all the collection documents, leaving Aru amazed and mesmerized by how the Masked Swimsuit Gang can rob the bank, unaware of the group's true identity.
After obtaining the documents, Sensei, Hifumi and the Countermeasures Committee manages to escape undetected. As they check the bag, they discovered that the bank employer had also loaded a lot of cash, which would be enough to buy off their debt. Serika wanted to use the cash for themselves to pay off the debt, but was later convinced by Hoshino that they would be no different to the gangs who attacked their school and decides to dump the money, but not before encountering Aru, who says she appreciates their work as she strives to become a toughest criminal. The Countermeasures Committee makes introductory poses, calling themselves the Masked Swimsuit Gang before leaving.
Kayoko, Mutuski, and Haruka discover a bag of cash dropped by the Masked Swimsuit Gang. When Kayoko reveals the Masked Swimsuit Gang's true identity, Aru was shocked by what she heard.
Difference Between Anime and Game
- The part when Mutsuki meets up with Sensei and Ayane is skipped out at the anime.
- In the anime adaptation, Ayane tells the club that Handyman 68 seems to frequent the Black Market district.
- She makes no mention of Handyman 68's previous assault on their school or about that club's details unlike in the game, with the exception of the recovered parts.
- The scene where the Countermeasures Committee fought against the delinquents to save Hifumi is shortened; Shiroko actually took them all out by herself.
